Monika Rogoża - Polish illustrator, graphic designer and book editor.

Monika is an illustrator. She graduated from Architecture at Rzeszów University of Technology two years ago but she has been working as a freelance graphic designer for at least 4 years. For the last year she has focused only on illustrations, making graphics, posters and cooperating with some famous magazines dedicated to art and literature (for example: http://malyformat.com)

Opportunities and plans for the future

Monika will continue being involved in ambitious project. At the same time she will probably be part of more commercial activities which are more financially beneficial.

Pitfalls and challenges

For the last two years Monika had to have other jobs, because being a designer didn’t allow her to make a living. Currently she has had enough recognisability to be a full time designer.

Here, like in case of most graphic designers in Poland there has also been a problem with software. The monthly licence for Adobe Creative Cloud (60Euro) is a significant amount of money comparing to Polish wages. It gets easier with time but has been really troubling at the beginning of the career.
